As a way to introduce the dive boat and crew for the pilot episode, I had an idea to follow someone as they did their Open Water SCUBA course. I spread the word, and my friend Pam Dino said she was interested in doing it. For Episode 4 I had an idea to showcase some of the area’s wreck diving, and to tell the stories of how a couple of those wrecks were placed on the ocean floor. We found a couple of men who were involved in prepping the wrecks and they told us quite a few entertaining stories….

For Episode 5 I wanted to show a little-known side of SCUBA diving: disabled or “Adaptive” diving. For many disabled divers, there’s nothing like leaving gravity for a while and enjoying the underwater world. We talked to 2 people instrumental in adaptive diving programs and also heard from the specially-trained adaptive diver buddies.

S1EP8 – “Clean Up”
In this episode of Dive Charter, I wanted to get people thinking about the plight of our oceans in the face of constant litter and garbage, and the effect it was having on marine life. With interviews of divers and their thoughts on reef cleanups, we followed some of the divers underwater as they begin their “hunt” for trash on the reefs. Also included are interviews and underwater footage of lionfish hunters as they are on their quest to help eradicate this predator from our reefs. This episode takes place aboard Sea Experience II.

In this episode of Dive Charter, I wanted to spotlight the divemaster career of Amanda, who has been working on Scubatyme III for 9 years. She recently got married, and she and her husband Jon have decided to leave Florida in search of other adventures. In this episode, we get to talk to some of her friends and Scubatyme III co-workers to get their feelings on her departure. This episode takes place aboard Scubatyme III.

S1EP10 – “Lady Luck”
In this episode of Dive Charter, I wanted to spotlight a cool event happening in our area – the sinking of an artificial reef. In the 80’s and 90’s, this was a common occurrence, but it’s more rare to see now. The viewer gets to see the sinking from both surface view and aerial view, and listen to some of the divers on the boat – some of whom have experience with this particular ship! This episode takes place aboard Scubatyme III.
